That is according to England youth coach Emile Heskey, who has waxed lyrical over the 16-year-old midfielder.
The midfielder, who has been capped at Under-16 and U17 level for the Young Lions, became the Premier League’s youngest ever player last season.
Nwaneri, who was 15 years and 181 days old at the time, came on for the final few minutes of Arsenal‘s 3-0 win away at Brentford.
It remains his only senior appearance to date for the north Londoners, though he did shine the pre-season friendly against Nurnberg in July.
There were fears that he could move on with Chelsea and Manchester City keen, but he ultimately agreed scholarship terms at the Emirates.
And now Heskey, who scored 22 goals in Liverpool’s 2000/01 treble-winning season, has insisted the youngster has the ‘world at his feet’.
The England U18s coach has also told Arsenal fans to watch out for fellow 16-year-old Myles Lewis Skelly, who has been earning rave reviews for the U21s.
Speaking exclusively to talkSPORT.com via Freebets.com, former Leicester striker Heskey was asked about Nwaneri’s chances of first-team football.
To which he said: “I think when you look at a player like that, who’s got the world at his feet, there’s not just him, there’s Myles Lewis-Skelly as well at Arsenal.
“Them two, I see them breaking in in the next year or so, getting opportunities.
“And I think that’s the main thing. I think you’ve got a really good manager in Arteta to give the young lads opportunities.
“They’ve obviously got to take them opportunities, but they’re giving them the opportunities to actually go and play, which is fantastic.
“Ethan has got the world at his feet. He’s a strong young lad who’s very direct, very quick and still very young.
“I think he’s 16 still, or he’s due to be 17 soon. So, he’s still very young.
“And to be playing at that level, at that age, is great for him.”
Nwaneri has enjoyed a stunning start to the season for the Under-21s, where he is their top scorer.
He has already chipped in with five goals and two assists in six games in all competitions.
And with Arteta aware he will have to rotate his side with Arsenal competing in four competitions, Nwaneri will be banging at the door to be given an opportunity to shine.
